From Our President:

Franklin Canyon

It turned out to be a nice day and the course was in really good shape I hear. We'll see how long it lasts as an 18 hole course. In Flight A Kurt Stoffers edged out Jeff Cho by 1 stroke with a net 75 to Jeff's net 76 to capture 1st place. Rich Long and Sam Wheelehan tied for 3rd with 78's. John Davison took the show for 1st place in Flight B with a net 78. Russ Baldo came in 2nd with an 81, Ronnie Larry was 1 stroke back for 3rd and Ron Wheelehan was 4th with an 84. In Flight A skins Sam Wheelehan got 2 and Kurt Stoffers, Mike Chaple and Jeff Cho each won 1. John Davison was the big skinner in Flight B with 4, Peter Vannues got 2 and Gordy Spencer, Ron Wheelehan and Russ Bado won 1. John Davison won 2 of the closest to the pins (I think he's been practicing) and Kurt Stoffers, Jose Rivera and Sam Wheelehan each won 1.

Our net event is at Shadow Lakes on May 11 starting at 10:00. Green fees are $75 and include cart and range balls. This will also be the qualifier for the NCGA Associate Club Championship. This is a 4 man team made up of the 4 lowest net scores at Shadow Lakes. The NCGA qualifiers are on 7/23, 7/24, 7/25 or 7/31. The championship is at Poppy Hills and Spyglass on August 19 & 20. The team entry is $640 or $160 each player. If the team qualifies for the championship there is no additional fees except for carts.

See you there,

Tom
